Rain or Shine
A cherished tradition, Halloween in Converse Heights is one of our favorite nights! Trick-or-Treating in the neighborhood will always take place on Halloween night 🎃
We’re excited to welcome all the little ghosts and goblins this year! However, please note that debris from Hurricane Helene are still being cleared, so it’s a good idea to bring extra flashlights for better visibility. The city is addressing debris removal and will work diligently to clear as much as possible before Halloween.
The Association is working more closely than ever with the City of Spartanburg and local law enforcement to ensure a safe and fun Halloween in Converse Heights.
To ensure safety, we’re increasing police presence and closing specific streets to car traffic from 3:30-8:00 p.m. on Halloween night. During these hours the following streets will be CLOSED TO CAR TRAFFIC. The affected streets are:
Mills Avenue (from East Main Street to Glendalyn)
Maple Street (from Mills Avenue to S Fairview Avenue)
Rutledge Street (from Mills Avenue to S Fairview Avenue)
Otis Boulevard (from Mills Avenue to Connecticut Avenue, with Fairview remaining open)
Glendalyn Avenue (from the Spinx to Mills Avenue)
Coming in from outside the neighborhood?
We've designated the car-free zone above, but the whole neighborhood is available for trick-or-treating! Houses that are participating will have their porch lights on. No lights = no candy.
Please be considerate about trash and make sure to pick up after yourself and your children.
You can park on any street in Converse Heights, but please do not block driveways.
Once you park, please walk the neighborhood with your children; do not follow them in the car. We recommend you bring a stroller for the littlest trick-or-treaters, and enjoy walking around our spooktacular neighborhood!
