We'll learn about wonderful native plants in the Ravine that deserve protection and also about invasives that deserve destruction. Bring a favorite tool: most folks like to use a hand pruner, lopper, or hand pruning saw.
We will meet at the foot of Mills Avenue, where it meets Boyd Street, at the bench in front of the holly hedge.
Our leader will be Converse Heights resident Merike Tamm, who has been visiting the Ravine for 35 years. As a member of the SC Native Plant Society, she has been participating in restoration of natural areas for the past 10 years.
